Moorland Moss 1

This bright green Star Moss and tiny Saxifraga is quite common and prolific on damp moorland - photo taken on moorland near Hebden in the North Yorkshire Dales.

Moorland Moss 2

I spotted this eye catching patch of Star Moss from quite some distance away - it looked almost luminous in the surrounding landscape - photo taken in Langstrothdale in the Lake District.

A Mossy Post top is also a common sight throught the UK and many can give rise to the imagination - this one could easily have a face underneath the Mossy top - photo taken in the Brecon Beacons.
